Welcome to The New Inn
Set at the foot of the South Downs National Park, yet only 15 minutes from Brighton and the sea, The New Inn is a Grade II listed converted gourmet pub at the heart of the bustling village of Hurstpierpoint. We serve a wide range of freshly prepared dishes in a relaxed and inviting environment and pride ourselves on the high level of hospitality we provide.
The Front Bar and Snug
The front bar is a great place to socialise; tall tables and stools allow for easy conversation whether standing or seated. Major sporting events are shown on the TV and in the winter the open fire keeps the chill off.
The snug is a small room with just four tables, which makes for an intimate setting. The area can also be booked for a private dining room or meeting room.
The Back Bar
The oldest part of the building and a lovely cosy room. The old oak panelling is adorned with old pictures of Nelson, Trafalgar and the Empire. An open fireplace provides the only heat to the room in the winter. A range of tables are available and seating at the bar. This area can also be booked for private parties.
Recently updated, the restaurant was originally the village corn exchange. It is a gorgeously light, bright and spacious room – great for long family lunches and special occasions. It also has its own bar and access to the garden, which makes it perfect for functions and private parties.
This beautiful 1/3 acre walled garden provides a beautiful and tranquil place to enjoy The New Inn. There is seating for over 100, either on benches or tables and chairs on the patio. We have a beautiful herb garden at the back, that our chefs make full use of within the food that is freshly prepared for you.
There is also a children’s play area and a box of garden games available. Please note that parents must supervise their children at all times.
We look forward to welcoming you at The New Inn soon.
