'Inn' the Kitchen
All change in the kitchen as after a few years of franchising out to some great chefs we have decided to bring it home.
The Josper charcoal oven is back along with some delicious new dishes including Trenchmore Farm wagyu burgers and amazing fresh fish.
It is our aim to use as local (Sussex) as possible with regard to all our fresh produce, meats, fish and even Charcuterie & Cheese. We will be growing our own herbs and a few vegetables with a view to expand on that over the next year or so.
The Kitchen team is headed up by Executive Chef Jack Green, showcasing his take on pub classics with locally sourced ingredients from local suppliers. Jack spent time at the Cat under Head Chef Alex and more recently working with Matt Gillan running his events company. Jack is producing great new dishes for the winter months... promising to be an exciting time at the Inn
Emily Cook is still with us and has been in the Kitchen here for a few years on and off as Sous and head chef and brings with her a positive energy and enthusiasm to take us in a new direction.
Going into next summer (2024) From June until the end of August we will be serving our Garden menu on Saturdays and Sundays. Featuring summer classics along with cracking dishes finished in our wood fired oven or on our wood fired BBQ to ensure the taste of summer.
We are happy to cater any occasion, from an intimate date night to a wedding reception
There are a few great party spaces here at the Inn and we are here to ensure your event is planned well & goes smoothly.
We have a few packages on offer and would of course be pleased to come up with a bespoke package for you.
